Focus : Geology of Base Metals

The development of renewable energies and clean technologies and the transition to a low-carbon digital economy mean an increasing demand for certain minerals and metals. Many of these metals and minerals are now considered to be of critical and strategic importance to Canada. Federal and provincial governments have developed action plans to encourage and assist the mineral industry with this transition and to help meet the challenges associated with the exploration, mining and processing of mineral resources.
