Focus : The Targeted Geoscience Initiative

The Targeted Geoscience Initiative (TGI) is a collaborative geoscience research program that provides next-generation knowledge and methods to enhance mineral deposits targeting. TGI was launched in 2000 and is now in its sixth phase, nearing 25 years of national-scale public geoscience and applied research focused on improving exploration effectiveness for Canada’s major mineral systems. It is also a key instrument to support the training of the next generation of highly skilled geoscientists to sustain mineral exploration in Canada and worldwide.
