Integrating Indigenous workers into Quebec’s mining sector

This article touches on the subject of my book, which I began writing in the context of rapid Indigenous population growth and changing demographics. After several years of working and researching within Indigenous communities and at natural resource extraction sites, I quickly realized that the social and economic development of these communities depended primarily on employment. The communities have a young workforce ready to work and living close to work sites. They want a role within the organization and to be involved in the economic development of the land.
